Dr. James Puglisi has worked in higher education for over 20 years and is currently the Associate Director of Campus Ministry at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, focusing on interfaith and cultural diversity work. He earned an M.A. in Applied Theology from Wheeling Jesuit University, and his Doctor of Ministry is from Catholic Theological Union in the area of Practical Theology.  His doctoral thesis was titled “Shalom: The Role of Truth Telling in Creating Communities of Racial Reconciliation within Institutions of Christian Higher Education.” He serves as an adjunct faculty in areas or religion and social justice and has presented at local and national conferences on issues of Catholic identity, white Christian privilege, and interfaith engagement through the lens of Nostra Aetate.
