Dialogue Institute organized more than 20 iftar dinners in Austin during the Ramadan. Cathedrals ,Churches and Synagogues opened their doors for the Iftar dinners. It has been fantastic to come together and have dinners with people of different religions. The tradition of breaking fast with friends, neighbors and the needy has been part of the Islamic tradition for centuries. These community iftars help building bridges between communities and fostering interfaith dialogue, the essence of which was echoed at the start of Ramadan.
