Daughters of Abraham is an interfaith dialogue group that consists of Jewish, Christian, and Muslim women. It was founded by First United Methodist Church and Raindrop Women Association volunteers in November 2019, and it is open all Jewish, Christian, and Muslim women in Austin. We come together every second Sunday of the month and talk, share, and discuss the topic around our holy books. We inform the other interfaith dialogue events with each other and share our recommendations about books, films, and papers about interreligious dialogue.
The participants of the meeting select the next month’s topic. On January 12, we discussed “Creation Stories” in our scriptures. On February 9, we will talk about “Scriptures on Women and their impact.” If you want to have more information or attend the group, you can reach out to us through contact page.
